Recommended Setup - Oil column heater in nursery
« on: August 06, 2017, 06:29:50 pm »
Hi All,

Just chasing an easy to use setup for our nursery.

I have a 2400W electric column oil heater that i would like to use to raise the temperature of our nursery overnight and maintain it at a certain level.

Whilst it has its own timer and thermostat, its a bit hit and miss, so i can disable the timer and leave the thermostat on max and give the control to zwave for temp and times to run.

I would just like to know which switch and temp sensor would work best together?

EDIT: Im using a Vera Edge controller.

Cheers,
JB

Update:

Ive ordered the following;
Aeotec Z-Wave Plug-In Smart Switch 6
Aeotec Z-Wave MultiSensor 6
Aeotec Z-Wave Nano Dimmer

The switch for the heater and the sensor to turn the lights on at there lowest level when someone comes into the nursery and its dark as well as to keep the room at a constant temp range throughout the night as well.

Might need a little scene help once it gets delivered and i get it all installed.

Cheers,
Josh
