CT101 Auto mode driving me nuts
« on: August 31, 2017, 02:12:19 pm »
If I set Auto Mode and change temperature in Vera to say 77, the thermostat says it is set to 79. While thermostat is still in auto, if I change the set temperature at thermostat from 79 to 77. Vera still shows it set to 77.

When I am in Cool or Heat mode, everything works as described, just this auto thing is driving me nutz.

I know there are different setpoint variables as I had a wifi CT30 or CT80 that really sucked before.

I am guessing someone has some PLEG or Scene code to fix the auto set point temp, if so please share :)

I do not use auto but do use PLEG and Weatherunderground to simulate Auto. If the outside temp < 60, heat mode is turned on, and if > 65, cooling mode is turned on. My setpoints are 75 for cooling and 68 for heating for Home and Away Modes, 72/65 for Night Mode, and 80/60 for Vacation.

We have had a cool August and a few days, I awoke at 5:30 am to the house being 72 and the stat set to heat with a 68 setpoint. Furnace did not fire but it was ready if the house was below 68.

Works like auto.

I gotta get PLEG worked out. Missing out on a lot of cool stuff. Mind sharing your PLEG setup? I'd like to experiment with this and my CT-100's. Thanksa

I have not dinked around with PLEG lately so this should still be current. It is not the most elegant but works for me.
