Planned google home integration ?
« on: September 18, 2017, 12:47:37 am »
Hi !

Really nice that vera now supports Alexa out of the box :)

I was wondering, does it mean that it is also compatible with google home ? And if not, any plans to have it in ?

Thanks !

You can use  Vera Concierge with your Google Home or Android Phone or IPhone or IPad.

is there anyway to use vera concierge like the integration from smart things eg turn on .... instead of having to say ask vera concierge to turn on ... ?

With Google Home you can always create short cuts and ...  You say "XXXX" and it responds as if you said "YYYY"

hmm good idea, it might take a little bit to set up but no doubt would be worth it.
Cheers

They have IFTTT integration working. Currently it is in beta, and i am a beta-tester.
It works well and fast, within 2 seconds it responds.
You can sync Google Home to IFTTT and that to Vera and that makes for speach driven scenes or devices.
My literal example is ' Hey Google, moviemode on' and it responds with a simple ' Ok' and runs a scene which shuts off two lights and dims another.
Setting lights to actual percentages is not possible yet. Vera can also not act as a Trigger yet.

there is no way to get around vera concierge or even iftt when it comes in to dim each light to a different percentage without having to say tell vera concierge to dime lights to xx % unless every percentage is saved as a favourite?
