Bulbs - Zipato RGBW2, Zipato RGBW, Sylvania, and Aeotec ZW098
« on: October 27, 2017, 11:56:03 am »
So I bought ALL of these and none seem to work correctly.  The best I got was the Aeotec ZW098 (Of course the most expensive).  Some of the animations work (rainbow) and colors see to be able to be selected.  The others do not work with Vera Plus.

Before I send them all back, anyone ever get this working FULLY?

Thanks.

I've got the Aeotec one to work, I had getting secure classes to work by putting bulb literally next to the Vera unit even with stronger antenna it needs to be that close.

Also the RGB animations work great but I find every few times the stop command needs to be triggered more than once for the light to detect it.

Aeotec ZW098 works out of the box with UI7, I've tried also Zipato Bulb2 and it's promising - warm white colour is more comfortable and possibilty to change CCT from 2000K to 6500K is better (Zipato says 2700K-6500K but real range is much wider), but it is still not fully supported by Vera.

If you don't need RGB nor change CCT I think, that  best is Domitech ZE27EU (it is for EU, UK version ZB22UK has different cap), it has true 2700K warm white and possibility to switch off locally by double-flicking off switch.

The aotec zw098 works out of the box indeed, but how can you control the w color when adding into a scene? The rgbw wheel control plugin does not show a wheel in the scene editor. Only when you directly modify a device
