Maintaining Schlage PIN Numbers
« on: November 03, 2017, 11:17:47 am »
We own a rental property with a Vera Edge and 2 Schlage door locks along with many other devices.  The property is managed for us and I want to give the manager the ability to add and delete the lock PIN numbers....  but I do not want him to be able to change anything else in the system.

Is there a way I can restrict the manager's login to only the Schlage PINs?

I don't think so.  Just by him being on the same network as Vera, nothing is stopping him or anyone else from deleting/renaming/etc all of your devices.

Example: http://ip_address:3480/data_request?id=device&action=rename&device=5&name=Chandalier&room=3

Example: http://ip_address:3480/data_request?id=device&action=rename&device=5&name=Chandalier&room=Garage

Example: http://ip_address:3480/data_request?id=device&action=delete&device=5

hi all;

i am writing a small python script, and currently i am using pin 11 only. obviously i would like to use as many as possible; but when i accidently connected pin 6 0V and pin 4 my pi rebooted.

1 does the python numberiing refer to the physical order of the pins
2 which numbers are safe to use?
