Windows Phone 7 Client
« on: January 01, 2011, 08:48:42 pm »
I'm finishing up version 1.0 of my vera client for windows phone 7.  I needed a replacement to Home Buddy when i switched phones.  Thanks to Rakstar (Home Buddy) for some insight into the inner workings of vera.  I'm hoping to release it on the marketplace sometime soon.

I've published version 1.0 of my application to the marketplace.  They say it will show up in a few hours.  Enjoy.

I really like the phones and developing for them is so easy.  Plus i needed a good replacement to Home Buddy.  I'm just hoping to see some updates from microsoft to address a few performance concerns on some silverlight controls, since there are a few UI optimizations i'd like to do.

I dont own a Zune so i'm not really sure how software is developed for it.  I know WP7 borrows UI related things but that might be about it.

Submitted a new version for certification.  Below are the changes….  Hopefully it will be available mid week.

v1.2 Changes
* Added option to set a starting room when a unit is selected.  This option can be found in the settings page.  The available rooms is updated each time vera engine data is requested.
* When changing a unit password it will also update other units passwords where the username is the same.  This should help make it easier to update logon info across multiple units.
