Does not work as there is no Vera skill in the Alexa app for Canadian users.

Really growing frustrated with this as well. I read a few people used a HA bridge, but not even sure what that is or where to start. Would need a step by step guide on how to do it which I have not been able to find.

It runs on an external Linux or Windows box.  Do read the information on the page above, especially on the limitations and issues.  That said, it has worked pretty well for me on a Raspberry Pi.

Thanks for the link, but it seems quite complex for someone who is not a programmer/computer guy.

I gave it a few months of waiting, but I guess I'll be getting the wink hub 2 which already works with Alexa.

100$ vs what looks like endless hours of my time to figure out this work around...
