ConciergeServer download
« on: November 19, 2017, 12:10:52 pm »
I've tried several times to download and I get a certificate error. I've tried to save the link - no go.
Also tried wget with no-check-certificate.. still no go.

Any help appreciated!

Seriously, I'm the only one that can't download this.

Hmmm...  Can someone give me an alternative download link ?

Thanks!

I have some problems here as well.
On one lap top the jar downloaded but would not install, localhost returns an error.
I then downloaded to another laptop where the program loaded and the web page shows the certificate link which is needed for the Install from local host. No matter what I do I'm unable to find the certificate on LT#1.
I suspect I have some underlying Network problems as I'm also experiencing problems with the Broadlink Plug In.
I'm going to try a standalone PC later today and see what happens with it.

You can't download it ? ... or you can't install it ?
There should be no certificate needed to download the file ... maybe try save as ... Your browser might be trying to execute the jar file ... and that will not work.

it won't download... running Linux Mint.. used Firefox and Chrome.. same thing. Also tried save link as... filename shows... firefox errors out with network error. Chrome says failed.
Tried a wget from shell.. same result.. 43 byte file... nothing in it.

I've got it running without Broadlink support on both LapTops.
Whatever the Broadlink problem is it's the same on the Broadlink App.
I've just reset everything and started from scratch hoping that I missed something-no joy and very frustrated as to what could be root cause of this as the eControl & iHc App work beautifully locally & remote.

Thank you zedrally for the jar file.. it's running now. I can't seem to find out how to enter my my info for the Vera.

Enter your Vera Cloud Account Information

This is used for two purposes.
To find out what Vera's you have.
To be used by the "Cloud" services to send commands to your Vera in responses to Google Home requests.

No spot to enter anything. Am I missing something here ?

That is the Config form, for some reason it appears not have loaded correctly.
I guess all that you can try is to reinstall, otherwise you may have to wait for Richard.

Sounds like you might be running with OLD linux distributions that only support SSL that have documented security flaws.
Most Server platforms no longer support SSL methods with documented security flaws.  The files are stored on a Google Server, and they take security seriously.
Some older linux platforms only support SSL methods where the security flaws were found after they were released ... and need to be updated.
You need to run Java 1.8 on a OS that has SSL components (these are not part of Java, but are used by Java) that meet todays security needs.

Should my Google Voice show up in the Concierge Server?
It doesn't see the server now that it's running. very odd.

Yes it sees the goolge home and google cast devices ... since they both show up during the "Cast" discovery.
This means that you can send a "Vera Alert" notification (using the Vera Alert Plugin, with the Vera Concierge Profile) to your Google Home device ...
