Setting Hue Scene in luup
« on: November 19, 2017, 06:32:02 pm »
Hi everyone,

I am using Philips Hue 2 plugin with my recently bought Hue color bulbs and hub.   I am able to switch Hue scenes in UI7.  I have a Vera Plus.

I would like to set my Hue to a specific Hue scene using luup code.  Here my function:

function set_hue_scene(deviceID,sceneValue)
  luup.call_action("urn:micasaverde-com:serviceId:PhilipsHue1","SetTarget",{ newTargetValue=sceneValue },deviceID)

My Hue plug is deviceID = 94.
For Hue scene, I want to set it to "Concentrate" preset where sceneValue = Ycxb2OsdyMOPPyL
Does the call_action above look right to you?  What shoud "newTargetValue" be?

Thank you.

This sounds backward and daft but for the ability to turn off the lights, it?s important to have. The reason is that the Hue v2 app has a much nicer UX for using Hue but it removed the ability to create off scenes replacing that notion with virtual toggle switches on each room on the Hue bridge. it will give you some notifications about being old and that you should switch to the new v2 app but that?s fine, it still works.
