UPnP Devices
« on: January 06, 2011, 10:14:27 pm »
I just got a Vera 2 and so far it's been working well, I'm using RS232 to control my Sharp TV, USB-UIRT to control everything else, and now I want to use the Vera to interact with UPnP devices on my network, most importantly my XBMC server. I can add the XMBC: Media Renderer as a device in MiOS but from there I don't seem to be able to do anything. I'm mostly concerned about urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:AVTransport:1

How would I control that via scenes (It just says invalid JSON if I try to add it in the advanced tab) and how could I read the TransportState variable from my XMBC box and run a scene based on the state (STOPPED, PAUSED_PLAYBACK, PLAYING) essentially turning it into an event.

Thanks Ap15e, but if that were working, then presumably the actions would already show up in the advanced tab in the scene. I got into the logs tonight and I see what the problem is, when I add a device it's trying to download

Code: [Select]
http://10.10.0.112:3480/luvd//AVTransport/01435ace-29f6-e649-f956-deee12fbb17b/scpd.xml
Instead of..

Code: [Select]
http://10.10.0.112:52562/AVTransport/01435ace-29f6-e649-f956-deee12fbb17b/scpd.xml
Obviously curl returns an error that it can't connect to the host because the port is wrong and
Code: [Select]
/luvd/ is randomly injected in there. Is there a MiOS developer around that I could work with to confirm this bug?

You could file a bug report at http://bugs.micasaverde.com/ ...
