Need lock cylinder for Schlage BE469
« on: January 01, 2018, 01:08:04 pm »
I need the lock cylinder for the Schlage BE469.  I believe I've seen several people post with failing electronics for these locks.  If that's you and you still have the cylinder please PM me and I'll pay you for the cylinder.  Bright brass preferred, but I'll take any color.  Thanks.

You've peaked my curiosity, as the cylinders are a pretty standard Schlage part. Why replacement?

Long story, but the threads are stripped/malformed on this one for the two long bolts.  I haven't yet been to the hardware store; if I can get a replacement there it would be great.  The Schlage website gave me the impression this is unique for the particular lock, but I may have misread.

That actually looks pretty standard for the BC250/500/600-style deadbolts, but definitely not the BC60's and similar that you normally find at the big box home centers. I found a few suppliers that sell the cylinder/housing sets, but without knowing that it would fit for sure, it's pretty risky (prices around $60-90).

I found this eBay link to someone selling only the panel/cylinder: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Schlage-Z-Wave-Exterior-keypad-for-model-BE469NX-CAM-619-includes-key-L-60/332467843832?epid=13011372236&hash=item4d68a0b2f8:g:qa0AAOSwsI9aIG96#rwid

Not cheap, but at least you know it's from the same family. Anyway, hope you find something. That's a pricey prospect to make a 20-cent bolt fit a hole.
