I have a Vera Secure. I am trying to add in 2GIG-DW10-345. I've successfully added to the system. but the problem is the device is always opened even if the magnet is in contact. It should be closed when its in contact.

Anyone else encounter same problem and have a solution for it?
I've tried all different way, different 2GIG-DW10-345 sensor, but no success! Might be a huge glitch on Vera Secure

Johnnywoods,

I have multiple DW10-345 door sensors attached to my system. Prior to the latest firmware update they worked perfectly. Now, after the firmware update, I am seeing some odd behavior. Although they work as expected, I also get random 'trips' when the door has not been opened. Sometimes the sensor remains open, other times it closes. *** The behavior noted occurred after a complete system restore. My original Vera Secure failed and I was able to get a replacement. The new unit did a firmware upgrade prior to restoring from a backup, so there may be some other cause, not yet discovered.

In any case, as it stands now, my alarm system is not reliable. I get several door sensor 'trips' per hour. No specific time interval and in no particular order or pattern. Just random occurrences. At night I have to disable the sensors so they do not trip the siren. Has anyone else experienced similar behavior with this particular sensor after the recent firmware upgrade?

Sorin M, a support ticket was placed today with a full explanation of the issue.

I have Monoprice / Vision door and window sensors that are definitely closed but they still show they are open. It is random in that sometimes they read correctly and sometimes they don't. Ironically, none of these are window sensors but rather door sensors; two doors and one slider. Frustrating, yes.

Has the problem been resolved? Am close to upgrading to a verasecure but after reading this forum I am very concerned with reliability as a security system.

Habitjim, I rolled back to my last known good firmware, which for me is 1.7.3233. At this time I have no need to upgrade the firmware, so I will stay here until that changes. That said, my system now is rock solid (again). Sensors work as expected. System runs well with minimal reboots. Overall I am very happy with my system and its performance.

2GIG-DW10-345 will work just fine with VeraSecure running the latest available firmware.
I cannot vouch for other devices that are not officially supported tho.

I have a verasecures, and I am on the latest firmware. The problem is still persist. It was working fine for awhile til the latest firmware, once I've updated to it, whenever I switch from home to away, I automatically get a notification that the device has been opened even if the devices were untouched. False Alarm. Yes, I've already put in a ticket for it. Hopefully your team will get to work to figure out the bug.
