SQ Remote 2.3 in app store
« on: March 20, 2011, 01:19:51 pm »
We are delighted to announce the latest version of SQRemote.

This version supports new features such as macros that can take you anywhere within the application - meaning you can create your own navigation within SQ Remote. we also support zwave energy monitoring devices and my personal favorite, the user defined web-view:

Examples of where the web view really helps are

*  stream IP camera and video
* add your favorite movie and tv guide service (imdb.com is very fast to load on the iPhone)
* weather and other information sites

One of our beta testers created little "web sites" on his box.net account to gather information from sources and format it to work specifically on the iPhone... By sharing the URL with the app, simple personal web sites without the hassle of a full personal web server. Ingenious, adding a weather icon as a background to your thermostat just became possible.

As you all know, our "point of view" is to give users and installers the ability to quickly and easily make a customized control experience. We allowed you to disable the "edit functions" in a prior release,  adding to this use case, we have added the ability to "turn off" the setup options, making the final control for your home clean and less cluttered.

Finally, the is an updated IR device database with many of the newer av devices added including some hard to find discrete codes...

There are many smaller fixes and enhancements, and we hope you enjoy this release as much as we do!

So does this imply/require an update to SQ Designer?  Does this version still work with Vera UI4 boxes?
