Pool Control on Z-Wave
« on: March 27, 2011, 10:03:15 pm »
Hello All:

Looking for a Z-Wave pool controller.  I have a JANDY RS4 pool system with a control panel inside the house that is fairly new and don't really want to replace it BUT I would really like to, at a minimum, be able to view the set points of the system.  Anyone know if/how this can be done?

I thought I read somewhere that Jandy has some kind of communication adapter to RS485 but that would, I think mean I would have to still hardwire RS485 over to where VERA sits and then have a RS485 to USB adapter.  Has anyone tried this type of thing with any other device ???

Would be even better if I could control Pool Temp, Spa Temp, Filter Pump run times, etc....

Any advice would be welcome.

I'm just starting to look into this, and I've been following this thread: http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php?topic=3242.0.
