Hello, i needed some advice before I upgraded to 1.1.1245 from 1.1.1036.  I currently run 3 hsm 100s, 1 kwikset lock, 3 jasco switches, and ether rain controller.  My system has been running rock solid for a year.  I had upgraded to 1.1.1047 previously but reverted back because my system kept rebooting.  So basically after reading this entire thread I am a little nervous about upgrading especially the zwave firmware.  Please advise if I should even upgrade at all.  If so,  what procedure should I follow so I dont screw anything up.

Thanks,
Vera newbie

@min2,

1.1.1245 is the best build I've used and have no hesitation recommending upgrading to it.. Moving forward to 3.2 could be an additional move at another time if you are hesitant.

FYI, Your currently running 1.1.1036? It has a bug where it shows the incorrect status for Kwikset locks.

JOD.
I'm sorry, my responses are limited. You must ask the right questions.

@min2

What do you hope to gain?

If the worst happens, and you need to reset your system, is what you hope to gain, worth the hassle of having to start over fresh? I'm a newbie, I'm starting on the ground floor, and this version does not feel like it is anywhere near ready to be called beta to me. Likely that will upset a few people here.

I hear you saying it has been rock solid, and it works for you, to my mind that's a great reason to stay with what you know.

Upset is not the word, maybe you just dont have the experience JOD has.

Ive run 1047 (upgraded after it came out of the box and gave no issues) and upgraded to 1245. Its stable, no problems and yes of course it has bugs, as any other firmware/software package has. Dont get scared off by this thread for that reason.

Upgrading to 3.20... id stick to the advice JOD gave... save it for later if your system is up and running on 1245 for some time and you feel the "need"  to upgrade.

I myself have a very small network so little impact. On yours with all the variables... id wait a bit!

Thanks for your help guys.  I will upgrade to 1245 but leave the zwave firmware alone for now.  Since I use a kwikset, I wanted to fix the status bug.

What is the plan now ? Releasing another beta to correct some problems reported here ? Making this 1.1.1245 version the official release ?

From MCV:
.1245 is out actually, and is official.  micasaverde.com/vera2 will upgrade you.

All new Vera's get .1245 by default.  We're making it an automatic upgrade for all other users this week.

Does anyone know why the urls return "not found"? or am i the onlyone experiencing this?

Might be of course because im already on 1245, but still, strange error message

For those upgrading and would like to know what changed,

Yep IE works.. most probably my HTTPS enforcement.
NOTE to self: Disable Chrome HTTPS enforcement and local authentication before updating Vera (nice and safe!)

MCV customer support had me (nervously) upgrade to .1245. It went smoothly with no problems. Thankfully.

Will any of these versions speed up the time it takes to save data, or is it a function of the chip involved?

@ballroller

check the release notes. I published the link a few messages earlier.
1245 provides a lot of stability improvements and bug fixes.

Maybe the response time you mentioned is improved to, but you should notice that soon enough!

Let us know what your experiences with 1245 are!

I am still getting the "ZWave: Failed To Start" message.  This is a Vera 1, upgraded from a perfectly-functioning 1.0.996.  What now?
