@TimAlls

Unfortunately I discover  the same thing about Vera2, no good for commercial. I am in the commercial specify in the fast food area doing energy manageent, since the cost in our island are over .29 a KWHR. At this moment we are working with the Niagara Platform no problem just the price and everything is wire, no know that is a problem for retrofit especially on yachts, that the reason I start looking to Vera2 and the wireless thing. We also have a lot of marine market here and I did start with Xamboo but I get to the same conclusion, no good for commercial . I read everything of your  project with Vera and is a god one. I am wondering if you can tell me more about the project with the Leviton we can explore the alternative for our market and your market. I think that the Vera@ is good for small boats application and small commercial. DO you have implemented a floor plan with all the devices in you project? Please send me a PM so we can discuss it if you have time. Or let me know if I can call you.

Hi Tim

A new Vera user here, started off on your threads due to the lack of any "and" functionality and read from end to end, an interesting project.

Did the "code generator" ever get put together or did the touch screen side take over??

I'm setting Vera up to control the heating and the lack of basic functionality without coding is annoying to say the least

Thanks

Nick

Hi Tim;
One thing I noticed is the temps are wrong on the thermostats.
The current temp and the cooling setpoint are reversed.
They appear ok in the temp/light/humidity screen but are mixed up on the controls-thermostat screen.

Hi Nick,
The touchscreen took over the need for custom coding. I couldn't remain reliable while using the Vera.....just too many bugs. My solution was to use all Leviton products and the switch to the Leviton Serial adapter for comunicating with the zwave dimmers. This has proved to be very reliable.  Sorry for the delayed response.....I don't get on here that often....I will try to getbetter about that!
Regards
Tim

I will take a look at the coding and see if I can make a correction. I have been so busy with new development using the Leviton Serial adapter that I havent had time to update this older piece of software....I hope it is still proving to be useful for all of you Vera Users!
Is anyone using the Vera 3? Is it any better?

Thanks for the updat Tim. I thought that was probably the case.

I've got vera behaving herself now and doing a good job as a heating controller and data logger. It was a steeper learning curve than I expected though.

It's not dead....I haven't made any changes with it in quite some time. I have not heard from any one as to UI5 and Vera 3.....does it still work with the newer versions?
Any feed back would be great.

As to the latest version it is posted at the begining of this thread.....

It runs... so I'm on the right track. I just need to figure out what to do with it now.

One thing I noticed is that I cannot exit the program. I have to kill it in taskmgr. I'm running on Win 7 64 bit.

Make sure you are running the latest version....1.018....the quit button is used to exit on the top right side.

No money...no license...it's free.

This program will control lights / scenes/ thermostats from a touchscreen computer....help you see what the Vera outputs, graph lighting loads to check script timing, print reports...and lot's more.

Play with it....you may find it useful.

Hi Tim,

Sorry to bring a negative to this thread, but I was downloading your codegenerator&report 1_028 application and Google Chrome suggests with a red no entry sign, that it 'appears malicious'.

Checking again using IE , it did not say anything and scanning with Norton it found nothing.

So not sure if this is just my instance,, but it seems when downloaded via Google it does not seem to like your app.

Tim,
I installed the Labview runtime on my laptop and then installed the app.  Works fine.  However, I have a couple of questions:
1) Does Vera send an indication as to what nodes belong to which room?  It's a bit awkward to have to define what is all included in each room manually.
2) The app seems to poll Vera quite often.  Does that cause problems?  Does Vera send a notification when something in the JASON file changed?
