Hi Tim,

Is there any way to store the IP address for those of us with fixed IP's? Just one step that we wouldn't have to keep entering.

While I don't understand the intricasies of the data, I do like that I can pick a device and find out what it's doing at that moment.

Hi All,
Here is the latest Beta Version 6.2
I added an XML tab for older firmwares.....if you had trouble with the previous version try this one and let me know if it reports properly.

Yes it is. I have added a new Tab called XML which is under developement. In that Tab I am parsing the larger configuration file to extract more information. If the frequency is listed then I can report it.
I would need a copy of the XML from someone who has the dongle.

Yes it is.

Are you sure that the Z-Wave frequency is available from user_data2?

Hi Tim,

thanks for your PM but sadly the xml brings up an empty table for me.
Never mind.

If it is in the Userdata2 I can display it....The UserData2 files are stuffed full of just about everything but the kitchen sink! It wouldn't surprise me ....someone will have to look who has the dongle.

Sorry, it's hard to believe that the output is so different. I have asked MCV for output documentation so I can stay compatible but no response yet.

Hi Tim,

I really apreciate what you are trying to do. But honestly, I have given up an MCV some time ago. That's also the cause why I am leaving my vera as it is and don't want to update. I find it a shame for MCV that they are relying on individuals like us to fix or workarround their shortcomings.
Thanks for all your efforts.

Thanks Ap15e

as I tried to say, in my opinion they simply don't know how to develop and maintain software properly. If there ever was a concept it went out of the window when they started to implement lua to let "someone else do the job". This resulted in spaghetti code all over the place.

IMHO, Vera is just a crowd-sourced showcase for OEM deals ...

Yes, Vera may benefit from OEM deals, but I yet have to see it.

The good news is that with a few users/forum contributers we are trying to make this available in easier to understand categories, stickies and wikilinks.
