Turning Off the Blue Light
« on: June 21, 2011, 09:45:33 am »
1st, I gotta say I love my vera network but still pretty new to it. I haven't set up any extravagent scenes or anything like that (still trying to figure out exactly what I want to do and setup) however I just ordered a switch (not dimmer) for the bedroom ceiling fan and it has the blue light for finding it in the dark. I like that in the rest of the house but I'd like to know if there is a way to disable that light when I put it in the bedroom?

I was searching the forums but couldn't find anything (but that was probably more me not knowing what to search for)

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

It's explained in this post:

http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php?topic=6714.0

you add some "advanced" parameters and Vera will send them to the module.
I assume you are asking about GE light switches, you can swap the function of the blue led to be on when the switch is on, and off when the switch is off.  This is how I have the one in my bedroom setup, so I don't have a bright blue night light to deal with.
