alcon,
Thanxs for the suggestions. I did a reset of my iTouch again with no resolve. However, I was at the hospital this afternoon using their WiFi, low and behold iVera 1.2.14 works for me (you got me!) and to add injury to insult after coming home this evening it now works. PFM ???

Really disappointed....
I hoped the app was now universal and also usable on the iPAd as well, release a version for iPAD instead of a phone!

I want to control vera mainly at home and how better to do this from a device for home, indeed the ipad, not the iphone!
The iphone is nice but not ideal, it is simply to small. iphone is great for out doors but for indoors a ipad is much better to use.

So make more effort to release a universal app, i do not believe this must take such a long time to develop if a iphone version is already present and available, it is only redesign the gui, the functionality is 100% the same as the current iphone version, so i really do not understand why this takes so long to release.

The app is not cheap at all, so why must we wait so long for a universal app, please give us a release date!

If i known this would take such a long time i would never not have bought it, also at the moment i would not recommend it to any other user due to very slow response of developers of ivera.

Greetz from a very disappointed ivera buyer...

I noticed that when you switch between the areas you sometimes have to reload as it displays out of date info. Like tstat on the tstat page then switching to the room it is located in and the values are way different. Hit the reload and it gets updated and they are the same. I saw the same for lights and door lock this means I am constantly reloading to male sure it is up to date.

Could somebody conform that new version is compatible with the 1.0.989 firmware?

I'm still using UI2 and planning to get new iPhone this Sunday.

1.0.989 is definitely an old firmware version and although MCV would recommend to upgrade, version 1.2.15 of iVera (which has been sent for approval to Apple last week; iVera Free has already been approved so the full version should follow any time now since they were submitted at the same time) should work on UI2/UI3. There is post of another UI2 users (which I was in contact with and tested 1.2.15 before it was pushed to Apple) who confirmed it is working.

I just updated last night to the new version. I reset all settings, as was posted. I cannot connect to Vera now. It either comes up empty or crashes on my iPhone. Haven't had a chance to see if there are any crash logs yet.

Any ideas? The previous version worked great.

Which firmware do you have installed on your Vera? Did you fully quit iVera before resetting the setting?
email me at ivera@thinkiwi.com if you are still having some issues.

Just installed iVera demo on my iPad 2 and it works just fine. By default iVera app shows up with the iPhone small screen but there is a button in the right bottom corner for the full screen mode.

Just one question to iVera, if I buy and install full version on iPad, can I then sync it with my iPhone through iTunes? I don't have one yet waiting for the iPhone5 rumored release in September.

And technically speaking (I'm new to the iPhone/iPad world), will one purchased app work on both iPhone & iPad?

@virginian

question 1: yes you can as long as you use the same iTunes account to sync both your iPad as your iPhone.

question 2: mostly yes. however some apps are iPhone native, some support both iPhone and iPad and some are iPad native. You might find some resolution issues (like a small iPhone sized screen on your ipad) when running an app that wasnt built for one or the other device. Functionality should still work though!

Hope that helps!

Henk,

Thank you very much for clarification!

I'm installing iVera on iPad for my mother in law, and for her "the bigger the better".

iVera,

Finally installed full version on iPad. Very nice app with a well thought interface.

I have just one request.  This version seems to be designed for iPhone.

If you ever go with the "HD" version please allow to configure application to run on iPad in " iPhone" mode i.e.  take care of our senior citizens.
