how to execute event only after a specified time
« on: August 15, 2011, 01:22:46 pm »
Hello,

I have a door sensor that i wish to use to run a event only when its dark outside.

I want the lights to go on when the door opens, but only if its dark outside, like after 21:00 or so.

It was easy to setup the normal scene that turns on the lights when the switch is triggerd but how do i set it up that it only runs after a specified time ?

Wow, ok then.. Thnx

Simple code really... But you really have to know that these functions are available and how to use them..

I hope in future releases vera get's a little bit more graphical with more ( in depth ) functions like this.

Thnx again

Back again, everything works fine but if the lights are turned on in the evening and when someone opens the door the light is turned off after 1 min..

So how do i setup the event so that it does not run when the lights are already on

When I first got Vera I went through the same thing.
Here is the log of my progress with some very detailed explanations.
