VERA 3 Address Question
« on: March 21, 2018, 12:57:41 pm »
I have a home network setup with router.  The router address is 10.20.30.1. My Vera3 is 10.20.30.2 and handing out addresses to automated devices on 10.20.30.xxx.  I want to Change the Vera 3 to hand out addresses with it's own address, use 10.20.30.2 as the WAN but use 40.50.60.xxx.  If I do this will I have to re-add every Z-wave device or will the devices automatically get a new address?

The Z-Wave devices are not addressed via TCP/IP.  The networking address scheme does not effect the operation of the z-wave mesh network.

That being said, every time I've tried to change my Vera 3 WAN or LAN addressing in the last year my system locks me out and I have to reset it,which puts me back to the addressing I had.
