2 Wire Switches to Control Fluorescent Ballasts
« on: October 08, 2011, 09:39:20 pm »
Are there any two wire switches that support controlling of fluorescent ballasts?

Part of my home is "old work", so my neutral wires are pulled directly to the fixtures, and the hot wires are pulled down to the switches.  Most of the reading I've done indicates that there are two different manufacturers that make 2 wire switches -- Leviton and Cooper, but they both say that they only support incandescent loads.  There is more than sufficient wattage on my fluorescent ballasts -- probably about 100W or so, but I'm not sure if they would work well with an electronic load versus an incandescent load.
