New security settings?
« on: May 03, 2018, 03:47:37 am »
In the latest firmware documentation (http://support.getvera.com/customer/en/portal/articles/2934426) it says;

New Security Settings:
This option is mostly for developers which create or change MiOS plugins: Enable potentially unsafe Lua code, like wget and RunLua. Having this option enabled might cause unexpected behavior with some plugins or Lua code.

I can't see anything in the UI for it. Is it something we need to change in the plugin? Where is the documentation?

Martin

Thanks. I see it there now. What does it actually do? Is there a list of functions that should not be used? It says "like wget and RunLua". Is it just wget and RunLua that it blocks?

Im also having an issue here.

Ive enabled "Enable potentially unsafe Lua code, like wget and RunLua" but my code is still not working when I run the scene (and it worked prior to the firmware upgrade).

Make sure after you enable you reboot Vera, not just reload LUUP.
