For common stuff, we already have a placeholder Wiki page that can be updated:

Also, when it gets large enough, it can be broken into child pages for Lighting events, Thermostat events, etc, etc.
Anyhow the framework is there so we can simply add to it..... when the script is common enough for re-use by the masses.
That said, I'd like to avoid having pages like that one use any form of back-link into the forums itself. We'll probably confuse people by having to see the entire idea
incubation period, rather than a cleanly documented final
outcome snippet that's ready for use.
@Henk has already taken a similar approach with the more common "HowTo" type pages that's he's built out, capturing the essence of key Forum postings that have wide end-user applicability.
I believe you already have Wiki posting rights, so you can add to that page as needed.
