2GIG-TILT1-345 Device Problem
« on: May 23, 2018, 09:28:41 pm »
I have a new VeraSecure that I just installed two 2GIG-Tilt1-345 sensors. They install as Motion Sensors. They seem to work, but why are they not installing as Tilt sensors?

device_type: MotionSensor:1
device_file: D_MotionSensor1.xml
device_json: D_MotionSensor1.json

Anyone else have this or is it unique to the new firmware?

Tom

Try playing with device categories: http://wiki.micasaverde.com/index.php/Luup_Device_Categories.

Hi Don. Not sure if you are using 2GIG, but Vera will not change edited device categories for 2gig. Change it from 4,3 to 4,1 and the next Lua reload it will change it back (4,3 = motion).
You can change device_type, device_file and device_json to door sensor and it will look like a door sensor, but will not allow change to device categories.

The bottom line: Vera identified it as "works with Vera". Well, although it understands a state change as a motion sensor, it does not look like a tilt sensor. It also takes about 4 seconds to change state.

Thanks, Tom
