Sounds like you have your settings correct, but it sounds like it might be near the range limit perhaps, or have interference issues.

Still need to know the type of sensor, so that we can help you better!?

Also how far is it from Vera, and do you have any other Zwave devices in your network?

All I can tell you is that its a motion /temp/ and illumination sensor model zw-snmt-01

Tried that foscam8918.xml driver and it completely knocked out the camera and had to go back to using the generic one which atleast gives me a picture and takes photos

The sensor is within a few meters of the controller

The  camera itself when its switches on and reboots it ends up pointing upward towards the ceiling and even tho Ive tried countless times to reset its position and followed the instructions to save the settings as a preset it still ends pointing up to the ceiling

So you can understand my frustration with the whole thing !!

Yes understood, I'm sure we can get you up and running, just need some patience around here ;) especially given that there are some issues with UI5 at the moment that need to be worked out.... and PTZ control of the camera is likely not on everyone's priority list. Give it a week or so and I expect someone will have updated the Foscam plugin to work (it was always a hack of the Panasonic one anyway!)

Not sure on the default position thing, but I'm sure that can be worked out! Have you tried to post in the camera forum:

http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/board,27.0.html specifically this thread: http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,3591.0.html

Can you also set up a scene for the motion sensor that notifies you every time the sensor is tripped? This will give us an idea of how reliable it is, and if its tripping regularly, and will eliminate the camera from the equation!

Anyway, so your sensor looks to be an Australian version of the HSM100 / ExpressControls 3-In-1, and you may just need to adjust its sensitivity a bit.

Thanks  I had a look at some of that

The sensor is similar but not the exactly the same. Yes its Australian

I probably need to re-read that stuff a few times

Had a look at scenes and found that a bit confusing

It seems that I might have U14 because they refer to click add scene buttons on the dashboard to get started which is what I have rather that click on automation for U15

But it gets a bit confusing from there .....Eg under the commands tab its lists devices and the motion sensor is listed there...... but then only mentions other devices by #number eg#6.

This where I got confused because the camera isnt mentioned by name and its device number is #5 which isnt mentioned in the list at all

So I  set a command like arm sensor but when I go to events I dont get options like turn camera on or take a pic very confusing

I was wondering arent scenes more applicable to turning on devices and lights as a scenario rather than triggering the camera
as I would probably leave the camera on all the time anyway

In the meantime I have lost the pic from the camera as well so cant get any pic when the sensor is tripped

I mean this is really ridiculous I am wondering if I should contact the seller and send the lot back its just a complete lemon

What do you reckon, sending back isnt my preferred option but there have been so many problems with the devices Im wondering if it should be this hard!!

Also just noticed that the camera is working direct to my laptop but its using IP address http//10.0.0.3 but this seems to vary from time to time between 10.0.0.1-10.0.0.3 and in the settings for the camera on the dashboard the IP states http//10.0.0.2

Dont if this has got something to do with loss of pic

Maybe your cam is getting its IP from a DHCP server (therefore potentially different each time it reboots) and the Vera is assuming it is static IP?  Can you configure the camera to use a static IP?
