Garage Door Keypad Wiring
« on: December 20, 2016, 12:22:07 pm »
I have the GDZ Garage Door Opener installed and working... it's awesome and was surprisingly easy to setup.

Now, I have a new project:

I have an outdoor wired keypad for the garage.  It connects to the garage door opener via two 18 guage red and white wires.  I'd like to connect them to something in the middle that would allow me to disable the keypad when I want via zwave.

I have a mimo just laying around and wondering if anyone has any ideas.

Any dry contact Z-Wave relay can do this with ease. MMIMOLite is such a dry contact relay.

Yeah, I've been reading... only thing is... with the MIMOLite, will I be able to tell if the power to the pad in on or off (ie state)?  Going to experiment this week...
