Resolved: Alarm system support on 1.3.3
« on: February 03, 2012, 11:13:51 am »
Is the elk alarm plugin supported on 1.3.3. I am just getting a question mark for the partition. I have a vera 2 with UI5. I am running an android cell with 2.2.2.

Thanks
John

It should be supported. Would you be willing to give me your vera data so I can look and see what is going on? I can than fix what needs to be fixed.

The data is called lu_sdata, this is what I use to parse the data.

http://veraip:3480/data_request?id=lu_sdata

Change veraip to the ip address of your vera unit. If their is any sensitive data, e.g. passwords for ip cameras, you can go to http://jsonformatter.curiousconcept.com/ to format the data and carefully remove the sensitive info.  Then send this data to authomation AT garrettpower DOT com.

I have a GE panel and I am also getting question marks. Can this be looked into? Great app by the way!

Rogerdata,

Have a look at the second post. If you can send me your data, I can look and see what is going on and include any fixes in the next update which should be released in a day or so, maybe sooner.

Garrett,

I installed the new update and can see the elk partition now. Now I just need the option to store my pin in the plugin for the elk so I can arm/disarm the system. Thanks for all your help.

jwiz,

Can you arm and disarm with it now? Just wanted to make sure it is functioning. I'll add to my list of storing the pins.

It did not arm when I tried it but I think I have to put the pin in UI5 plugin for it to work I think. Thats the way I have to do it when arming from UI5 and when I was running UI4. I will play around with it to night when I get home.

Thanks

I am still having no luck controlling the elk partition. I tried it tonight and when I select any of the arming modes or disarm the app keeps crashing and asking to force close the app on my android.

Thanks
John

John,

I got the fix in. Testing the app right now to make sure I did not forget anything else will will have it in the market it soon. The crash was related to when you go to hit any of the arming state, it would pop up a dialog to enter the pin. I had a small syntax error and that caused the crash.

Tested the new update and it is working perfectly now. I also upgraded to the lastest release on my google tv this morning and it is also working perfectly. Thank you for all your hard work on this app as I have been waiting for this feature since I bought my Vera2.

Thanks
John

Glad things are working now. The googletv interface is not perfect and I am working on a partial rewrite of the interface for the tablet and googletv interface. I will be using the grid layout and there will be other changes as well. I am also trying to clean up and consolidate as much code as possible to make it easier to maintain. Let me know if you have any other issues or questions.
