Pool Control / Re: Hayward OmniLogic IP-based Pool Controller

Nice!  Would you mind sharing the API?

I have been having a similar issue. I thought it was my router having issues.  I kept loosing all my LAN connections. But wifi was fine.
My router/cable modem is supplied by my ISP and is not rated very well.  I bought a new D-Link and disabled gateway feature on ISP unit putting it in bridge mode.  New router worked great for a few days, then LAN connections fell off again. They wouls say connected but not to internet.
I checked my PC network settings and it showed connected to a gateway not even close to the one I have set for my router. The IP address assigned to the PC was nowhere near the DHCP range of my router.   I typed the gateway IP into my browser and it brough me to the Vera Edge GUI login page.
My PC and other LAN clients were likely all trying to connect to the internet through my Vera hub instead if my router.   So at this point, unfortunately, I have my Vera up plugged to avoid my PC or others connecting to it by mistake?
Did you find a suitable solution to your problem?

Looks like the Fibaro FGS-212 might also work for this application.  Not sure if it is readily available or not.

Is the application something you want to plug into a wall socket or are you hard wiring your 120V connection?
Amazon Alexa / Re: Scenes do not work

The scenes show up in mine under the devices. I've been able to say "turn on (scene name)" and it work fine.

But I'm new to Alexa with Vera so YMMV..

Question to the Beta users, I'm getting the sense that some folks are not getting the "Sorry, Device X is not responding" message followed with a 7-42 second delay with the action finally initializes (e.g. device comes ON or OFF ect.) is that true and if so what in your environment such as; connection speed(s) is there difference based on time of day ect. may be contributing to it?

Question to VERA beta development team are you aware and is there anything the user community can do to help minimizing the delay and when are you envisioning an update?

I solved this problem (at least with my hue lights "timing out") by first adding the Hue Lights via the Hue 2 plugin in Vera's web interface, naming them appropriately, placing them where I wanted them in Vera rooms (I like to group lights as "rooms", even if they are in the same room, so my PC Hue lights get their own room, while my TV Hue lights get another room), and making sure I could control them manually from the Vera web portal. I then linked the Vera to Alexa Beta, gave appropriate aliases, installed and linked plugins, etc, then hit discover in the Alexa App so it would find all the Vera controlled z-wave and hue products, but did NOT hit the hue bridge button. I then hit discover a second time, this time hitting the button on my Hue bridge, which effectively doubled the number of Hue lights found, but allowed me to then associate the hue lights without Vera with a group, so that Alexa responds and turns the lights in the affected groups on almost immediately. No more timeouts (so far), but still able to control via both Alexa and Vera, with room for adding an alexa+vera grouping for each group so that the commands pass through Vera should I need to (for redundancy if nothing else).

@rigpapa, many thanxs for the updated and improved plug-in. Question in regards to "Lights-Out Time" field the current default is 23:59 (11:59 pm) can I assume that if I enter 05:30 (0530 am) and the plug-in is enabled it would turn on some time around sun-down and would randomly turn on/off lights/devices that the user specifies until 05:30 am in the morning or is there a problem bridging between two days? One other note about the power cycle method : it obviously can't work when remote, which is the primary use case for one of my units.  Luckily, the battery only lasts four hours, so eventually it will go down hard if I kill power to it remotely.
Have read elsewhere that the ibox and ibox2 cannot be downgraded.

I am not on UI7 yet so I cannot answer but it sounds like you have the right idea.
