Title: Devices update their status with delay after manual operation
Post by: TMC on February 26, 2019, 04:27:41 pm
Lately I have noticed strange behavior on Vera Edge. After manual switching of their switches, their status in Vera is updated in some cases and after 3 minutes. That's a bad thing.
What could be the cause?

There is a term you will see here, called "Instant Status". Newer devices tend to have that feature, but some do not. What Instant Status means is that the device will notifiy Vera when its state is changed. Non-instant status devices do not. On those devices Vera will not know about the state change until the device is polled, which can be several minutes later (depending on the polling interval).

If instant notification is needed for a specific device, then that device will need to be replaced with a device that supports Instant Status.

Devices are bought for 5 years. They worked on Vera Lite then Vera Edge.
It's not okay to get notice that the gates are open after a few minutes after it's closed.
And when the gate opens at night, there are some automations, lighting the lights, disarming the alarm and more.

It's done. I reset Vera then I restored the system. It works properly.
