Title: SSH Basics
Post by: MNB on August 03, 2015, 02:08:35 pm
For those of us that do not use SSH capabilities often ;D, Can someone provide a short tutorial as to how one navigates around Vera (Edge) and in particular look a directory content and be able to delete a specific file. I have accidentally uploaded the new Sonos zipfile using Vera's App> LUUP upload capability but noticed that it did not provide the ability to delete files. I'm able to get putty up and running and successfully login Vera, I'm just a little rusty in using SSH commands, any help would be greatly appreciated, Mike

I recommend using WinSCP if your on windows, it allows you to login to your vera and have a file manager UI to manage the files on your Vera.

@dubbedout, many thanxs for the suggestion, once you pointed me to WinSCP I noticed that I had a installable copy in my downloads dated 2011 (shows you how long ago I dabbed in SSH). Was able to locate and delete the missed place file. Mike
