Title: Vera Plus Firmware update
Post by: Clems on May 20, 2018, 08:18:35 am
Hi,

Yesterday I would like to upgrade the latest firmware, but the Vera told me that :

Code: [Select]
/usr/bin/GetLatestVersion.sh: line 139: can't create /etc/cmh/version_latest: No space left on device

So what is the way to free some memory space, like log, cache, temps, etc ?

thank you !!

Hi,

After reading of multiple users with low memory issues (on VeraPlus not on the users).  I was wondering what the "System Monitor" plugin reports for free memory (assuming one has it installed).

I have had no memory issues (yet) and the system monitor reports
  "Mem Available 192620 kilo bytes"

What do others have?

You are reporting the ram, not the storage. The firmware problem is a shortage of storage flash memory.

If you have ALTUI installed, look under Misc---OsCommand---Free Space, and see what the /overlay partition shows as free space. If you can SSH into the Vera, run

df -h

the "disk free" command. It will give the same information.  The FLASH memory is the "disk", and is what is getting too full.

@HSD99

Thanks, I found the df -h command.

Interesting thing,  I copied the results of the df -h command before my recent update and after.  There was virtually no change.   I do however have a relatively simple system.
