Lighting & Load Control / Re: Sonoff iFan02 control with Vera Plus?

I successfully used SONOTA in the past, not use if your device is supported https://github.com/mirko/SonOTA

In case it's not supported, you'll need to flash it with wires.

You then will need to write a virtual device. Vera does not support fans directly, so you can decide to use a thermostat with fan as base, or a dimmer/roller shutter. In this case, you can use 0, 33, 66 and 100 to map to corresponding speed of the fan. Look at the forum, there's a sample for a virtual shutter device implementation and I think you can adapt it to your needs very easily.

Plugins & Plugin Development / Re: Plugin: AutoVirtualThermostat (AVT)

Can this PI work in conjunction with a Ventstar T7850/T7900 Thermostat or is another PI needed?

I would really need to know more about what you are trying to do.

Looks like I had notifications off on this thread. Anyway, I am only using this currently for full up or full down control. I haven't looked into doing a partial as that's per window vs per scene. The scene method was a lot easier to get going, and I suppose you could create a bunch of scenes for individual windows, perhaps at various heights too.

I'll poke around more with this in a few days hopefully.

Lighting & Load Control / GoControl LB65R6Z and Halo RL56 Recessed LED
« Last post by bigpal on August 14, 2018, 07:24:50 pm »
I've been using Vera for five years, but I haven't been to this board in a while because I haven't changed anything. I recently did a remodel and did a complete Z-Wave install and went with Veraplus, again. I need to control some recessed lights independently from the switch, so a few lights caught my eye.

Halo Recessed RL56 - (Zigbee)
Very nice, you can dim and control color temperature. I paired it with the Vera (latest firmware) and it didn't even come close to configuring the light. I uninstalled it and after doing so, the Vera completely died and I had to restore from a backup.

GoControl LB65R6Z - (Z-Wave)
Only 650 lumens, but dimmable, and would serve my purpose with 2700K warm white. Vera can add it as a dimmer, but can't configure or even contact the device. I have reset the light and paired it probably 9-10 times.

Anyone have experience with either of these, and any idea from Vera folks when support will be added?

Lock, Motion & Security Control / Re: Ecolink Door & Motion Sensor Zwave plus

I've been waiting 4 days for vera support to tell me what the fix is.   Can anyone post the fix here?  I too have the PIR-ZWAVE2.5-ECO.

Thanks...

General / Re: I give up

The aeotec z-stick has an embedded battery and application specifically for inclusions. You have to setup the secure class key on the stick using a windows app (the backup software). You can then unplug the stick and go include devices wherever you want. A short push of the include button start a non secure inclusion. A long push (red flashing) starts a secure inclusion.

Can you unplug the Z-Stick and do secure includes or does that have to be done from within the main application. I'm getting ready to move my locks to HA and I'm using a Z-Stick. I love this thing...

ALTHue / Question on ROOMs ?
« Last post by cokeman on August 14, 2018, 05:29:09 pm »
Hi

just set this up, using a Rasp PI with diyHue, that runs with my IKEA tr?dfri. works like a charm.

I see all my bulbs and I can control them. but I don't seen any rooms (I do in the Hue App on my phone). Do I have to adjust every bulb in sceens, or is there a way to turn on a room like in the IKEA or Philips HUE app ?

e.g. in my bathroom I have 4 bulbs, would be nice to turn on the room, and not bulb 1 and 2 and ...

When looking in the "HUE DATA" it looks like the information it there
