When I use the app to unlock my Schlage door lock it unlocks and after 5 seconds locks (which is normal for the schlage locks).  Just wanted to note that the app status shows the lock unlock within a couple of seconds.  It takes another couple of minutes to show that it is locked.  I did not know if this was an issue or not.

The app looks great it is so nice to be able to customize the screens to fit your needs.   I have the Honeywell YTH8320ZW1007 thermostat.  I have noticed that when i change the temperature the unit stops following the schedule.  I can turn the unit on, off, and set to auto but, nothing I do puts it back on schedule.  Any help or suggestions would be great.  Is there a run schedule option or hold option that is app or vera related?

thanks,

Need to have a way to log in to a secured mios account. "Cloud" mode doesn't work for me right now.

Does this only work when connected to Vera via local network? I'm trying to connect externally but I can't figure out where to enter my MiOS login.

If you go into the "settings menu" on the iphone scroll down until you find "HomeWave app"  selcect it and then update your "mios username and password"

What does the Vera UI show when you unlock the door lock?  Does it show the door being re-locked right away?

It might be a timing issue; HomeWave polls Vera for any changes every 10 seconds, and if the door opens and locks within the same interval, perhaps the wrong value gets reported.

electricessence, this might be the answer to your issue.  If you fill in your user/pass in the settings there, the cloud mode should work.

I'm not too happy with the way the setting are hidden :) . Apple provides a nice framework for app preferences, but they get hidden in that place where nobody thinks to look.  I'm considering moving the settings into the app itself.

Vera shows the correct status after 10 seconds.  I just noticed on the app if I unlock the door, close the app, wait 5 seconds, and open the app it shows locked.  This is not a big deal I just wanted to point it out.  Thanks love the app.

Yes, it does stop following the schedule as well.  It enters a temporary hold state.  The next time it reaches a schedule time it does return to normal operation.  So the issue is related to vera...

Feature add??  Has there been any request to add access to schedules?  I have several schedules that I would like the ability to turn on and off remotely.  Thanks,

Having connection issues with Foscam. It was having problems initially then started working for a few minutes and now it's down again. I can view it through MiOS just fine.

Also would like to see support for Foscam preset views.

Lastly, is there a way to view DSC alarm status (ie armed/disarmed)? I have a virtual switch that tells me but HW doesn't show it's status correctly.

Hi Intveltr

Are there plans for temperatures to show to one decimal point?
I have a RFXCOM sensor that shows 21.6 on the UI, but Home wave only shows it as 21?

Thermostat schedules: It's on the list, but pretty far down :)  The app is intended as a remote control rather than a programming tool.

Foscam: I assume you are using the standard plugin w/ foscam implementation file under UI5?
I have another customer who reports problems with the camera plugin under UI4; he just gets a black screen.  He also gets a black screen when he puts in the URL to ask Vera for the camera image in a browser (e.g. http://192.168.x.x:3480/data_request?id=request_image&cam=171, though the image does come up for him in MIOS or the Vera UI.
I have one Foscam camera and several generic IP cams that all work just fine, via MIOS or on Wifi, so not sure what the issue is.  One thing you could try is increasing the relevant timeout settings (for MIOS and LAN) in the app settings; perhaps that will help.  If so, I'll add a separate (longer) timeout for cam images.

Foscam presets: Planned!

DSC Alarm: Is it a regular, separate virtual switch, or does it come with the DSC alarm plugin?  If the latter, perhaps the switch uses arm/disarm rather than on/off to control the alarm, and HomeWave does not support that yet.

RFXCOM temp sensor: I didn't add decimal points as the standard Vera controls don;t show it either.  Will add to the list; hopefully it's an option I can add in the upcoming version.

Foscam seems to be working great now since I came home from being on vacation. Works well from both local and cloud.

Will full DSC integration be worked in at some point?

Played with it a little bit this weekend. Nice work! Definitely has its own place in the iOS Vera app realm.

Now comes the real test: hand this app to the wife and see where we land on the WAF scale. :)

I'll definitely take a look at the DSC plugin at some point, but it may take a while.

V1.1 is almost ready for release, fixing some minor bugs and adding a few extra functions.  V1.2 will focus on customization, adding custom colors, icons and backgrounds.  I'll work on support for plugins and devices in V1.3

Fyi, the dsc plugin follows the standardization of the alarm device. Implementing that will allow you to support the other alarm panels.

@intveltr:
Now that I found it, I like that the settings are where they are. I suggest either making it more clear they're there, or a button that takes you there.

I'll have support for blinds in v1.2 or 1.3... once I get around to installing a blind controller in my place.

I had a look at the DSC alarm panel and I'm trying to make sense of it.  From the XML (and from pointing the DSC plugin at a random computer on the LAN) it seems that the plugin creates a new device for every zone on the alarm panel.  Each zone acts as a more or less regular alarm item (door, smoke etc) that can be armed/disarmed, and is in normal or alarm state.  It seems each zone can have a whole bunch of other states besides arm/disarm, but those are not apparent in the subdevices created in Vera.

Anyone able to shed some light on this thing?  I don't have a unit to test against and I don't think any compatible alarm systems are even sold in Europe.

With any of the Alarm integrations you get

a) a "type-specific" Alarm Panel object, which the UI's can safely ignore.
b) one, but sometimes more, standardized AlarmPartition2 objects with the ability to Arm/Disarm (etc) and establish Panic alerts
c) one SecuritySensor1 derived device (MotionSensor, DoorSensor, SmokeSensor) per Zone (Window, Door, Motion, Garage etc) in the Alarm System.

(b) and (c) are children of (a).

(b) is the guts of what people want from a CP, as it provides the ability to Arm the house, and to check the general status of the Alarm Partition.

The Zone devices aren't intended to have anything other than the standard Tripped and Armed states... just like a regular motion sensor.  Tripped goes off when motion is detected in an Alarm Zone, for example.  Bypass isn't implemented by all of the Alarm Plugins.

The Partition device has all the stuff that needs specialized integration into the CP's, similar to how AutHomation has.

b) Do the AlarmPartitions show up as separate objects?  If these are standardized, adding them should be easy.

c) Can anyone confirm that the Zone devices work as intended in HomeWave?

Really quick test of a single wireless door/window sensor on my DSC panel: yep, sensor/zone state is shown correctly (Tripped or Ok).

Most houses will have one Partition on their Alarm system, so they'll have one Alarm Partition device in Vera.

If the Alarm system has been "split", then they can have any number of Partitions and each will appear as a separate child [AlarmPartition2 (http://code.mios.com/trac/mios_common-alarm-plugin-files/browser/S_AlarmPartition2.xml)] device of the overall Alarm Panel

My house, for example, has 2 Alarm Partitions.  I have a Paradox Security system (http://code.mios.com/trac/mios_paradox-alarm), that implements the standardized interface, as my primary Alarm Panel.  I probably need to update the pictures to show both partitions, and the new Zones I have (Garage, External Motion, etc)

At a high level, you can imagine the Partition object to represent "the keypad" in a house... at least for the simple case.

b) Do the AlarmPartitions show up as separate objects?  If these are standardized, adding them should be easy.

I tricked the plugin into creating a partition device.  Mine looks a little different, it has 4 buttons: arm, disarm, stay and force.

Yes, UI5 introduced further constraints in the Dashboard UI (who'da thought that possible?) that meant it needed to be further dumbed-down from what UI4 had (which had a popup of sorts for all of the Arming styles, as well as a field to enter the PIN code).

For the most part people need quick/one touch access to Stay, Arm, Disarm and Force (with an Optional PIN Code entry)....  There are a bunch of others also, and these could be made available via a Picker.

In addition to those, you'll see a set of "Panic" modes, these should be visualized as press-able entities, but made "fool-proof" so people don't trigger them accidentally (I believe AutHomation requires longer presses or something for these) since they typically bring out the [F]ire, [A]mbulance or [P]olice if you engage them on a monitored alarm unit.... and yes, it really does have that acronym  8)

I think I have the info I need to add:
- A zone control showing the state of the zone, and having a popup with the various arm/disarm variations.
- Panic buttons.  These will be protected by the standard HomeWave options: either with a Yes/No popup, or a PIN popup (using HomeWave's PIN).  Perhaps I should disable the default mode that will fire the control when pressed.

Not sure when I get around to it, the aim is to add them in v1.3 but I might be able to squeeze some of it into v1.2.  Hopefully I can ask one of you lot to try this out in a beta release before I send it to the app store.

Most plugins require the developer of the app to add support for those plugins.

By asking here :)

This device is similar to the powermeter defined by MCV so adding it just meant specifying the specific TED5000 uPnP service stuff.  The upcoming v1.2 version support this plugin.

v1.2 will be out in 6 weeks or so, including the time needed for App Store approval.  This version's main change is the addition of options to change colors and add images to buttons and screens, which requires a fair amount of new dialog windows.

Would I be able to beta test the newer version? I'd be happy to test and give feedback. I have many Z-wave devices on my Vera 3
