Title: UI6 working plugins
Post by: andreimios on February 28, 2014, 08:26:29 am
Hi all,

As suggested by pvancald, let's keep track of plugins compatible with UI6 in this topic.

Thanks,

- Andrei -

Working plugins so far :

- HomeWave Push Notification;
- MultiSwitch;
- Yamaha Network Control Alias;
- Vera Alerts
- Except for Pictures attached to alerts. Need to update android app.
- PLEG
- PLTS
- PLC
- Day or Night
- Garage Door
- Belkin WeMo
- Heliotrope
- Power Arithmetic
- UPnP Event Proxy
- Countdown Timer
- GE/Caddx alarm panel
- Current Cost EnviR
- Combination Switch

It is possible that some features of the plugins mentioned above are not available for the UI6 version. To find more, please read the following posts.

The Philips Hue plugin is compatible with UI6 (tested after upgrading from UI5, and as newly added plugin to UI6)

The HomeWave Push Notification plugin is compatible with UI6 (tested as newly added plugin)

This is a good suggestion, perhaps you @mcv.andrei can maintain the up-to-date list at the top of this thread, as developers check in.

It would be nice if you could create a list in descending order of the most popular plugins/apps based on number of downloads from the MiOS Marketplace.

A lot of us have been patient waiting for the 'official' release, but many of us may pull the trigger if we know our apps/plugins are ready for UI6.

Also, It would be nice to get an 'official' update from MCV of some of the updates in the new firmware.  Besides the new security, there doesn't seem to be a lot of feedback as to what benefits are being created relative to all of the plugin development that needed to be done for this change.

The Yamaha Network Control Alias plugin has some GUI issues but otherwise works fine.  I'm looking forward to some documentation for UI6 so I can get it updated.

The following work on UI6

By work I mean they work properly in the Advanced Tab.
More work to get desired behavior in the new (Pre-UI7) UI.

The state of my plugins.  These work on UI6, because they've either been updated or they never had a proper UI in the first place:
These need attention; they will continue to function but their JavaScript tabs will be wonky:
These have other odd behaviours that I need to work on:

To be properly useful this should be tracked on the MIOS App site also... and the first post here should keep a running list.

lol, so we are officialy listing working plugins for a leaked firmware?  ???

I can only update/test my plugins if Micasaverde sends me a free vera3, I am not willling to kill my home by trying UI6 on a productive environment. And my vera2 which I usually used for testing does not fullfill this purpose any more.

My vera is also in production@home. Therefore having problem testing anything on a leaked firmware...  When I asked Andrei for a free  ( ;)  ) vera3 to test on he said they were going to setup some kind of remote UI6 testing unit.  No time plan.

I wonder how I'm supposed to hook up Arduinos to a remote system ;D.

Honeywell Ademco Alarm Panel Plug-in works

When you say this one works, is that with the AD2USB interfaced?

Yes.  I have the AD2USB version.   It was working fine.  I had other issues with Vera not associated with AD2USB plugin and have since reverted back to UI5

Has anyone tried Nest or Alsteon? I'm tempted to give UI6 a whirl, but I need both of these working...

I don't know why we are considering it 'leaked'.  I just received my Vera 3 on 31/03/14 and upon registration, MiOS automatically installed UI6 on my device, with no way to decline the upgrade.

In my eyes, that makes it a public release.  Thanks to all the info on the forum, it lasted as long as it took to locate instructions to roll back to UI5.

For me :
- EDS One Wire Server plugin doesn't work.
The topic here : http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php?topic=8381.0 (http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php?topic=8381.0)
The Mios page : http://code.mios.com/trac/mios_ow-server (http://code.mios.com/trac/mios_ow-server)
I can see the new sensors, but impossible to add .

I email to Chris the creator of this wonderfull plugin and here is answere :

Hi,
Sorry - I don't have a Vera any more so can't support my plugins. The source is on Github, but unfortunately no-one wanted to pick it up when I stopped supporting it :(

Cheers
Chris

I hope someone will be able to making this plugin work under UI6. If i can help it will be with pleasure  ;D

This is the same thing that happened to me. I did not roll back however, and have been okay. The Visonic Powermax Alarm panel plugin is working in UI6.

I decided not to take any chances.  I don't have a ton of devices yet, but when I do install them, I prefer if they work  ;D

Anyone willing to be a test subject with UI6 and test all the plugins?

I'd like to see if the ones I wrote even work with UI6.  I have my Vera 3 in a production environment and don't want to play with UI6 yet to see if I need to update them.

I am quite happy to assist but if they are hardware specific, I may not be able to assist in functional testing.

Please specify the apps and storage location (App Store # or code library, forum etc)

I feel sort of taken.  When I purchased the Vera3, no where did it say it was a beta product.  ARGH!

TCPLighting works
Nest Thermostat works

Haven't managed to get Sonos working yet (despite the reports it works), nor verify the GC100 plugin as UI6 doesn't seem to work right setting up IR.
*Edit: I got Sonos working but I had to specify the IP in Advanced.  uPNP discovery did not work.

Take a look here (http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,10995.msg181981.html#msg181981) and the surrounding posts. Is that the problem?
