Title: Difference between Schlage be469nx and be469wk
Post by: 300mag on February 13, 2015, 08:18:35 pm
Trying to figure out if there is any difference between the be469wk and be469nx.   I see one is wink compatible and the other nexia compatible.   I'm trying to figure out if one is better the other when it comes to using with veralite.

I have exactly the same question. Is there a difference between these two? I can't really believe that one only works with wink and one only with nexia. That would leave a huge number of other systems in the dark.

Btw, the number after CAM indicates the color, i.e. 716 = Aged Bronze, 619 = Satin Nickel, 601 = Bright Brass

According to SmartThings, they are the same physical device.  I have one of each and have paired with a VeraLite with no issues.

300mag, I think I saw the post you are referring to where a smartthings guy said they are the same (although the poster said he can't get the NX to work with Wink). It's great to hear from somebody who actually used both and can confirm they both work with vera.

Btw, I never got that alarm thing to work where it will trigger an alarm when somebody tries for enter forcefully despite. I followed the instructions and rammed the door with my shoulder and pushed it hard but nothing happened. Have you tried it and if so does it work for you?

I have both working fine on my new veraplus.  They both function identically so far within vera.

futurescape,

Thank you for the confirmation.

As mentioned before, I never got that alarm thing to work where it will trigger an alarm when somebody tries for enter forcefully despite. I followed the instructions and rammed the door with my shoulder and pushed it hard but nothing happened. Have you tried it and if so does it work for you?

No, i have not tried it.  I do not think that the alarm will work with vera when forcefully hit but it should work with the alarm sound in the lock itself.   Which do you mean?
