Title: Setup from SQ Blaster to Vera
Post by: kozacek on January 18, 2017, 06:31:25 pm
Can anyone please provide easy to follow steps of transferring the configuration in box.net into beta so I can use the SQ Blaster from Vera's mobile app. I have Vera 3 and UI5 , the plugin is already installed and link to my Blaster just don't know what to do next to extract the already configured information in box.net.

From what I can remember you cant. Some people in  the past talked about a method if you had a jailbroken ios device. The problem started when box net changed their API and Square Connect seemed to abandon the product.

From what i was told from MIOS Support is that it can be done by taking the configuration from box.net and transferring it to Vera. I just can not find a clear understanding of how to link Vera to the existing configuration which is currently operation all my IR devices thru SQ Blaster. The MIOS Support person I talked to said he was new with no prior experience working with the blaster.

The iPhone app saves a set of configuration files to box.net... or at least it used to.

The Blaster plugin, along with the XSLT transformation files, morphed this information into a form that could be loaded into Vera... and would work with the binding.

Without those original files you're kinda stuck, since the definition of how to talk to a device, like a specific Amp model, are contained in the iPhone and/or box.net data.

If you have the .xsl transformation files, as well as the SQBlaster devXXXXXXXX.xml files from box.net, then you can follow the instructions at:

    http://code.mios.com/trac/mios_sqblaster

They're the high level steps, with links to the Forum postings with the step-by-step versions.

You'll need to adjust for UI7, as I've only tried it under UI4/UI5.

The transform files are attached to one of the other threads you inquired on:

You now have all the detailed info you need in order to get going.
